What Job Assistance Help is Available for Veterans?

If you’re a disabled veteran, perhaps you just need help finding a job. The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) has a site called www.vaforvets.va.gov that offers the following:

*        Career development services for veterans

*        Coaching and reintegration support

*        Tools for helping veterans identify their skills and evaluate their strengths

*        Matches veterans up with civilian job opportunities

www.Military.com provides information about career expos ― events held nationwide to connect service members and veterans with educational and employment opportunities. You can attend these events for free and bring your spouse. You can meet with well-known employers, such as Northrop Grumman, Mac Tools and the University of Phoenix. You can submit your resume to representatives you meet. Other job fairs are promoted online at www.hireveterans.com and www.vetjobs.com. Both of these sites offer virtual job fairs.
