Military Appreciation Month 2022: Our List of Amazing Veteran Discounts!

As you may well know, May is Military Appreciation Month here in the United States and with that comes a great deal of discounts made available to service members and their family. 

Below, you can find our veteran discounts list – some of the discounts below are even applicable year-round.

We’ll continue to update this post as more discounts become available, so check back regularly for any added updates.

All Businesses (A-J):

 

  • Academy Sports + Outdoors: Current and former military members can receive 10% off their entire purchase both in-store, and online, from May 1st to July 4th. 

  • Armitron: Active-duty service members, Veterans, and dependents can receive 10% off an online purchase with verification. A single-use code will be sent via email to apply at checkout.  

    • Tip: You can resubmit verification for added codes, but we found that you can only do it once per day. 

  • Brakes To Go: Brakes To Go is offering a 10% discount off their brake services for the entire month of May for any active-duty service members or Veterans. Book an appointment (here) and show verification of your military service: ID card, VA benefits card, Veterans card and get the discount applied to your purchase. 

  • Busch Gardens: The Waves of Honor program allows former military personnel and up to three guests the ability to enjoy complimentary admission to Busch Gardens in Virginia or Florida. Veterans can also buy up to six (6) other tickets at 50% off. These tickets are available online through mid-May and must be redeemed in person by July 10th. 

  • Cincinnati Zoo: All members of the military can receive free admission on Memorial Day. The offer also allows military personnel to buy up to six (6) half-price admission tickets for members of their immediate family. 

  • Colonial Williamsburg: Active-duty military, Reservists, National Guard personnel, retired military and Veterans can receive complimentary admission once annually for themselves and up to three of their direct dependents on either Memorial Day weekend, or Labor Day weekend. 

  • DELL: Military members can get 10% off select DELL and Alienware electronics and personal computers. 

  • Eyemart Express: Retired military members, active-duty military, Veterans, or dependents with a military ID card can receive 20% every day during May. 

  • Home Depot: Active-duty military members and Veterans can receive a year-round 10% discount online or in-store; up to $400 annually with their SheerID. 

  • Hulu: Service members can receive one free month, plus 10% off each added month through the platforms Exchange program. 

  • Indianapolis Zoo: Current and former military members can receive free admission on Memorial Day. The zoo also offers a $2 discount on four (4) day-of, on-site tickets. 

  • Jiffy Lube: All active-duty and former service members can get up to 15% off all services at Jiffy Lube year-round.  

Veteran, Discounts
Academy Sports + Outdoors says that this discount is their way of saying “thank you” for all our service members do to protect our nation and serve our local communities.

All Businesses (L-Z):

 

  • LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester: During May, active-duty military members, Reservists, and Veterans get free entry, plus a 50% discount for their family and friends (up to four guests).

    • This offer is valid both in person and online. 

  • Lowe’s: Veterans and service members can receive 10% off eligible purchases year-round with Lowe’s military discount.

  • Magic Springs Theme and Water Park: Magic Springs is granting members of the military free admission from May 28th to June 12th. Bring your military ID to any ticket window to receive the discount; family can also receive discounted admission ($36.99) when accompanied by a military member. 

  • Midas Total Car Care: Midas offers a 10% military discount for the entire month of May on most vehicles. Sadly, this is not applicable with any other offers – you can make an appointment online, or in person. 

  • Mission BBQ: Mission BBQ is offering Veterans and active-duty military members a free sandwich during the week of May 16th. 

  • Navy Federal Credit Union: Navy Federal Credit Union has plenty of exclusive offers for its members. If you open a Navy Federal cashRewards credit card, you can get $200 cash back when you spend a total of $2,000 in the first 90 days. If you refinance your current auto loan from another lender, you’ll get a $200 bonus, and if you open a new EasyStart or Special EasyStart Certificate you’ll get a $30 bonus after you make three automatic transfers. 

  • QALO: Qalo is offering a free ring from its U.S. Military Collection throughout May. 

  • Rack Room Shoes: Rack Room Shoes offers a 20% discount off your entire purchase in stores on Memorial Day for those with a military ID. 

  • Sherwin-Williams: All service members, including members of the National Guard and Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) as well as their spouses get 15% off with valid ID on Sherwin-Williams products – offer valid online and in stores. 

  • Sleep Number: Sleep Number offers 20% off all Sleep Number 360 smart beds, all bases, and most of their bedding until June 6th, 2022. This offer is valid in store, online, through their Live Chat, or via their Customer Sales Center. 

  • Splashway Waterpark and Campground: Active military, Veterans, and their immediate family members (spouse and children) can receive discounted tickets or Season Passes at the gate with a valid military ID. 

  • T-Mobile: Military members and their families can get discounted rates on their first phone line, plus 50% off up to five added phone lines at any T-Mobile retail location. 

  • UFC Gym: UFC Gym is offering complimentary 30-day training to active-duty and retired military personnel. Service members can redeem this offer at select UFC Gym locations until May 31st, 2022. This complimentary training is available with a valid military ID.  

  • Walgreens: Walgreens offers Veterans, service members and their families 20% off any eligible regularly priced items with myWalgreens in store only, between May 27th and May 30th. 

  • Zappo’s: Zappo’s is offering 10% off any online purchase with a SheerID.
